🏗️ Platform Builder & Organizational Infrastructure

The squares Parti operates directly, and the builder tools that help other organizations build their own squares. Parti and its sister business UFOfactory have not kept their infrastructure closed — they have shared it with countless nonprofits, cooperatives, and civic organizations. The result is an ecosystem of digital citizen squares growing both inside and outside Parti.

Parti’s Own Operating Infrastructure

The shared infrastructure underpinning the squares Parti provides directly to citizens.

1. Integrated Site Builder

✅ Implemented

⭐ Parti Original

The four sites Parti operates directly — Campaigns, Citizen Dialogue, Civic Technology, and CitizenPass — run on a common user account and integrated operating infrastructure. A citizen who signs up once can use all of Parti’s squares, and Parti can create synergy across them. (DemosX and Townhall are operated as separate systems.)

Parti Campaigns

2. Member & Account Management System

✅ Implemented

A membership system supporting sign-up, information management, permission settings, and group/organization affiliation. It distinguishes individual members from organizational members, and general members from administrators.

3. Integrated Donation & Giving System

✅ Implemented

A system that handles campaign support, organizational support, recurring donations, and one-time giving on a single platform. Designed so that a citizen’s participation in a campaign can flow naturally into support.

4. Email & Newsletter Delivery

✅ Implemented

A system that automatically notifies campaign participants of progress and lets organizations send newsletters to members. It carries on the spirit of Stibee, Korea’s leading nonprofit email platform, which was spun off during the UFOfactory era.

5. Data Download & Statistics

✅ Implemented

A feature for downloading voting results, discussion data, member lists, and more in CSV, Excel, and PDF formats. It lets operators freely analyze and use the data of their own squares.

6. Permission Management System

✅ Implemented

A system for managing finely-divided permissions across various roles — organizations, groups, organizers, general members. Multiple organizations and gatherings can coexist within one platform, each with its own autonomy.

Builder Tools for Other Organizations

Tools through which Parti and UFOfactory have opened their own infrastructure as open source and platforms, so other organizations can build their own squares too.

7. UFOfactory — Public-Interest Technology Development

✅ Implemented

⭐ UFOfactory Initiative

UFOfactory, Parti’s sister business, is where public-interest technology, solutions, and services are developed directly. Since 2013, it has researched and developed the digital tools that nonprofits, cooperatives, and civic organizations need, and operated an incubation model that spins off and transfers proven solutions. The appropriate-technology solution Mixon is also developed and operated by UFOfactory. While Parti takes on the citizen square in the domain of democracy, UFOfactory takes on public-interest technology development — the two sister businesses growing the public-interest technology ecosystem together.

8. Mixon

✅ Implemented

⭐ UFOfactory Initiative

An appropriate-technology solution operated by Parti’s sister business UFOfactory, letting nonprofits, cooperatives, and community organizations build their own squares directly. It provides campaign sites, community platforms, data collection tools, and more — integrated from planning to operation. Dongnaebangne Public-Interest Wiki (Gyeonggi Center for Public Interest Activity Support), the Digital Priming Support Program (Community Chest of Seoul), Feminism with Men, Domini Village Forum, and the 21% Club all run on Mixon.

Mixon

9. DemosX Open-Source Platform

✅ Implemented

⭐ Parti Original

DemosX, the citizen-government collaboration platform Parti developed itself, is released as open source — so any government, local authority, or institution can build its own citizen-collaboration platform. With 200+ public forums of operating experience and the operating guide released alongside, anyone can take a proven model and develop it rather than starting from scratch. (Covered in more detail in Category 5, Governance.)

DemosX

Event Formats & Methodologies

How Parti and UFOfactory have built other organizations’ digital infrastructure together with them.

10. Nonprofit Digital Transformation Consulting

✅ Implemented

Consulting that designs and operates the digital transformation of nonprofits, cooperatives, and civic organizations together with them. It provides the technology the field needs, integrated from planning to operation.

11. Experience Building Digital Infrastructure for 1,200+ Nonprofits

✅ Implemented

⭐ UFOfactory Initiative

The experience UFOfactory has accumulated since 2013, building digital infrastructure with more than 1,200 nonprofits, cooperatives, and civic organizations (as of 2017). The broadest digital transformation partnership asset in Korea’s nonprofit sector. This experience became the foundation of Mixon and Parti’s integrated infrastructure.

Future Directions

The next leap for Parti’s infrastructure.

12. Integrated API Infrastructure

⬜ Future Direction

An open API infrastructure through which all of Parti’s squares and tools can connect freely with external systems — so other organizations can use Parti’s citizen data, campaign, and voting features within their own systems.

13. Integrated Citizen Membership System

⬜ Future Direction

A system for integrated management of memberships inside and outside Parti, and across other organizations — so a citizen who belongs to multiple organizations can have an integrated civic experience.
